The ACLS program in Ontario is undertaking a comprehensive review to improve customer service and processes.

HSFO is not directly involved in planning ACLS Provider courses and ACLS Instructor courses. We rely on the expertise of the local Base Hospitals across the province and their ACLS programs to schedule and run their own Provider and Instructor courses.  Also, the Michener Institute also runs both mentioned courses.  HSFO refers individuals inquiring for either one of these two options. The challenge has been communicating between the hospitals/institute scheduling their courses and HSFO publishing them to their website to help promote these training opportunities.  With the launch of the new ‘Restart’ website we will be finding a solution to this and many other areas of improvements to the ACLS program. You can visit one of the hospital/institute who are in partnership with HSFO in conducting ACLS courses throughout the province.
